Rare Chinese; Semi-Translucent Green Carved Jade Tray With Foral Design Possibly 17th-18th Century. Rare, semi-translucent green carved jade tray of some age The quadrilobed, rectangular tray has a raised outer rim and a circular platform in the center, which is conformingly concave on the underside, and has a raised rim on top to accomodate the foot of a cup (missing.) Without the cup tray remains a significant piece and possibly late 17th early 18th Century boasting fine opaque mottling throughout. Tray is 6¾ x 5½ x ½" and is in flawless condition. This piece came to us with a GIA report evaluation dated January 29, 1975 confirming Nephrite Jade based on the refractive index spectroscope and ultra-violet light.
