Collection of 12 Chinese Snuff Bottles Including Two in Beautiful Jasper. Large, diverse collection of twelve (12) Chinese snuff bottles. Several standouts: One double gourd-shaped snuff bottle 3" tall with relief carvings on both sides in jasper boasting an explosion of earth tones, agate top with scoop. A second flatted bottle, 2¼" is also in jasper in lighter tones of salmons, creams and grays with top in same jasper and scoop. Both extremely appealing. The large brown glass table snuff bottle, 3¾ x 2½ x 1½", with the ceramic salmon and green banded top with scoop is still filled with snuff, the only such bottle in the auction. There are five (5) interior painted bottles, three of some age given their degrees of wear/wash. The other two are newer and quite vibrant. The balance is composed of two porcelain painted bottles with floral motifs, one contemporary ceramic bottle of a Chinese figure with basket, the lid of basket is the functioning top with scoop and a dark brown bottle in molded resin.
