Meir, Golda, Chaim Herzog, and Moshe Dayan. Golda Meyer and Moshe Dayan signed FDC for First Day of Opening the Tel-Aviv Post Office in Israel, May 16, 1948, with images of the 1917 Balfour Declaration and the 1947 UN decision "to establish a Jewish State in the greater part of Palestine." Also, an envelope signed by Golda Meir and Moshe Dayan, with stamps featuring Ben-Gurion, Herzl, and others, and a 1974 FDC signed by Golda Meir in English and Hebrew honoring David Ben-Gurion, who died in 1973. Accompanied by a typed letter signed by Chaim Herzog as president of Israel, 1 page, 11 x 8½", Tel-Aviv, Apr. 30, 1972. To Stephen H. Rugg about Herzog's Irish heritage, his father being Chief Rabbi of Ireland, then Chief Rabbi of Palestine, his parents work rescuing children during and after WWII, and about a book he is writing. With a 6½ x 4" color SP of Herzog as President and a signed page of First Day of Issue stamps celebrating the American Bicentennial.
