Flown NASA Patch Aboard ASTP from the Personal Collection of Donald "Deke" Slayton. From the personal property of Apollo Docking Module Pilot, Donald "Deke" Slayton (1924-1993), ASTP was the last manned US space mission until the first Space Shuttle flight in April 1981. ASTP was the first joint U.S.–Soviet space flight, as a symbol of the policy of détente that the two superpowers were pursuing at the time. Offered is a large NASA patch 4 x 6¼" flown aboard ASTP. Patch is of Beta cloth with letters screen printed and stitched on outermost borders on all four sides. In overall excellent condition, evidence of use in light soiling and scuffs to letters and blue paper residue on verso possible from a scrap book. Comes with LOA. It has been years since Goldberg Auctions has offered a flown NASA patch. Estimate Value $750 - UP
