1818. PCGS graded MS-65. A nice sharp strike throughout with lovely sunset toning encircling the borders on both sides. The surfaces are satin smooth and show just a few stray marks from an even higher grade. For identification, there is a minor bagmark located just above the eagle's head in the small field. Top condition like this is always in feverish collector demand, especially for on any Capped Bust half dollar dated prior to 1820. Pop 6; 7 finer, 5 in 66, 1 in 66+, 1 in 67.
