Sale 110

Lot 833

1878-S. PCGS graded MS-65+. CAC. PQ. A white gem that offers blazing luster and creamy frost on the devices. Examination finds little to distract the eye, as the surfaces show only the tiniest signs of contact. A condition rarity that is certain to satisfy the discriminating numismatist. Although 140,000 pieces are reported to have been struck in San Francisco that year, this issue seems much rarer than this number would suggest. Pop 1; 2 finer in 66. (PCGS # 5510) Estimate Value $11,000 - UP
