Lot 805

1843. PCGS graded Proof 65. Intense blue toning around the periphery, with lighter russet gold at the centers. The strike is needle sharp as expected for a proof, and this early issue 1843 dime is not only extremley rare, but an extraordinarily well preserved example too. It would be hard to imagine a finer example for the collector. This is an historic rarity which is seldom offered and always in demand. A lovely coin. Only 8 pieces struck. Pop 1; 2 finer, 1 in 65 Cameo, 1 in 66. (PCGS # 4730) Estimate Value $18,000 - UP
