1804. 13 stars on reverse. PCGS graded VF-30. Lovely old time toning of deep lilac and gray with golden accents. The strike is fairly sharp save for a couple of stars over the eagle near the clouds. Liberty's hair curls are well defined, an the fields and devices are satin smooth. The 1804 dimes are quite rare in any grade, perhaps 50 certified examples are available to collectors today. This is one of the toughest dates to obtain in any grade for the dime collector. Of course 1804 dimes are rare in any grade, and this is one of the finer examples known today. Only 8,265 struck. Pop 2; 10 finer at PCGS. (PCGS # 4474) Estimate Value $17,000 - UP
