1918-D, 8 over 7. NGC graded EF-45. Popular Red Book variety with a strong overdate feature and a full horn on the bison. The surfaces show a few scattered circulation marks, but the color is even and attractive for a high grade circulated nickel. Always in feverish demand when offered and this remains one of the toughest of the major overdates of the 20th Century. Estimate Value $7,000 - 7,500
