REG:F;D: in detailed Gothic script. Reverse, inverted die axis, crowned cruciform shields with (rose, thistle, shamrock and rose) emblems in angles within tressure of arcs, TUEATUR UNITA DEUS ANNO DOM MDCCCXLVII, garter star in centre. Edge reads DECUS ET TUTAMEN ANNO REGNI UNDECIMO in small Gothic letters, rose and crown stops. An exquisitely ornate item, and traditionally, Britain's most beautiful silver coin. A truly proof specimen, this boasts patchy but attractive aquamarine and blue toning over virtually unblemished fields. NGC graded Proof 64. Estimate Value $5,000 - 6,000
