Goldberg Coins and Collectibles

Sale 110

Lot 1231

1911-D. PCGS graded MS-64. Nice golden toning. This is the lowest mintage date of the entire series, and any 1911-D is a prized item today. Here is one of the finer examples known, with fantastic surfaces and abudant eye appeal. The obverse would likely grade gem on its own, while the reverse has just a couple of minor old bagmarks that limit its upper end grade. One is located below the D of UNITED, but this is minor overall. Here is a fantastic example of this condition rarity, and one that is worthy of the most advanced collection. A numismatic treasure! Only 30,100 struck. Pop 19; 3 finer in 65. (PCGS # 8869) Estimate Value $60,000 - UP
