Lot 1124

1870 Pattern Quarter Dollar. Copper, reeded edge. Judd-878. Pollock-975. Low Rarity 7. NGC graded Proof 64 Brown. Well struck with lovely medium brown hues. This Standard Silver issue does not have the name of our country on either side, and this combination of dies was certainly illogical. The obverse is Barber's Liberty Seated design facing left, with stars surrounding and date below. For the reverse there is an open agricultural wreath with Standard above and 25 / CENTS within. Pop 1; 6 finer at NGC. (PCGS # 61122) Estimate Value $3,200 - 3,400

Realized $2,040
