1852 Pattern Gold Dollar. Gold, plain edge, thick planchet. Judd-145. Pollock-173. Low Rarity 6. PCGS graded Proof 66. CAC. Struck in gold. A lovely pattern. The obverse displays a rich orange gold color which is matched on the reverse. For the obverse, the design includes the simple legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA with date below and an ornamental border below with a large central preforation. The reverse simply states DOLLAR above with an open wreath below. Pop 2; 1 finer in 67+. (PCGS # 11602) Estimate Value $25,000 - UP
