1847 Liberty Seated Dime. NGC graded MS-65. One of the finest of this entire year, this coin is the finest graded by NGC, and alone in the MS-65 category. PCGS has graded one higher as MS-66, but none in MS-65 according to the respective Population Reports. This one is toned a deep blue with gold highlights on both sides and is very sharply struck. Note the faint die cracks through the peripheral devices and how few handling marks are present. One tiny field nick is visible between the inside two points of the twelfth star. An important coin for the specialist who demands one of the finest available for a date set.
