Lot 647

1918/7-D Buffalo Nickel. PCGS graded EF-40. A rare date in high grade, most of these are found in lower circulated grades than offered here. Note the nearly full horn on the bison, and the natural appearing color on both sides. This coin looks like it was just plucked from a roll, or a hoard of nickels, and the overdate feature discovered. Minor handling marks, mostly on the outer front leg of the bison. The overdate feature is plain, with a broad and flat top on the 8. PCGS notes about 100 have been graded this high or better.
Estimated Value $3,500 - 4,500.

Realized $4,140
