Lot 2225

1916-S $10 Indian. PCGS graded MS-65. A condition rarity in gem, PCGS has graded 7 this high, with just 6 graded higher! Knee-deep in frost and with superb surfaces. Collectors of these know how few are encountered in gem condition. Take a look at the cheek on Liberty, or the surrounding fields, and you will see the absolute quality required for a gem grade. Bright yellow gold in color, with abundant luster throughout. Minor weakness in the strike, as always for the San Francisco Mint of the period.
Estimated Value $10,000 - 12,500.
