Lot 1865

1882-S Morgan Dollar. PCGS graded MS-66. This is one of our cover coins because of its wild obverse toning. In general Liberty's head is toned bright rose red with silver, while the surrounding fields are iridescent blue and green. Near perfect surfaces, as noted by the PCGS grade, and certainly a memorable example of this otherwise common date. The reverse, remarkably, is just plain white. Let's see what the premium is for a toned example is over just another white one.
Estimated Value $1,000 - 1,500.

Realized $2,300
