Valens, 364-378 AD. Gold Solidus (4.2 g), Antioch mint, struck 364-367 AD. Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Emperor standing facing holding Victory on globe, and labarum; RIC 2e. Also, two Byzantine Solidi: Phocas, 602-610 AD.; Frontal crowned bust / Angel frontal, holding Chi-Rho staff and globus cruciger; SBC 618. And, Heraclius, 610-641 AD.; Facing crowned busts of Heraclius and Heraclius Constantine / Cross potent on three steps; SBC 738. Phocas a better strike, with only minor edge weakness; lustrous. Heraclius also decently struck and lustrous. Valens ex jewely, and the Byzantines each with slight areas of edge smoothing. Lot of 3 coins. Valens Fine plus; Heraclius Choice Very Fine, the Phocas better.
