Augustus, 27 BC-14 AD. Lot of Three Coins: in Gold, Silver, and Copper. Interesting lot, with affordable gold. Laureate head of Augustus right. Reverse: Gaius and Lucius Caesar, togate, stand facing, shields and spears between. This type represented in both the Aureus and Denarius denominations: RIC 206 (AV); RIC 207 (AR). Also a copper As, Lugdunum mint: Laureate head of Augustus right. Reverse: Altar of Lugdunum. RIC 230. Aureus with flattened/damaged edge, and surface roughness -- perhaps sea salvage? Denarius slightly toned and lustrous. The copper As deeply counterstamped at edge: PP(?) in rectangular incuse. Lot of 3 coins. Aureus, Sharpness of Very Fine Denarius, Choice Very Fine; As, Fine.
