Republican Rome. Nine AR Denarii, c. 110-80 BC. Good dealer lot. Including regular and serratus types. Moneyers included are: A. Claudius Pulcher, 110-109 BC., Roma / Victory in biga; L. Memmius, 109-108 BC., Male head / Dioscuri frontal; Q. Minucius M.f. Thermus, 103 BC., Helmeted young Mars / Combat scene; C. Fabius C.f. Hadrianus, 102 BC., Veiled Cybele head / Victory in biga; D. Junius L.f. Silanus, 91 BC., Head of Roma / Victory in biga; L. Titurius L.f. Sabinus, 89 BC., Head of King Tatius / Rape of Sabines; C. Marcius Censorius, 88 BC., Head of Apollo / Galloping horse; Q. Antonius Balba, 83-82 BC., Jupiter head / Victory in quadriga; and, L. Roscius Fabati, 63 BC., Juno Sospita / Woman feeding serpent. Along with these, a Didrachm-quadrigatus, c. 225-215 BC, Youthful Janus head / Jupiter and Victoy in quadriga. Lastly, a Stater of Corinth, c. 300 BC., Pegasus left / Helmeted Athena head left. Coins, for the most part, lightly toned -- some colorfully so. Censorius on small, thick flan, perhaps lightly cipped in antiquity (3.5 g.). The Corinthian stater with corroded and heavily cleaned reverse, but Pegasus decent enough for jewelry use. Lot of 11 coins. Coins, but for two, average Choice Very Fine, a couple a bit better; Didrachm Fine.
