Celtic Central Europe. Danube Region, c. 2nd century BC. AR Tetradrachm (13.3 g). "Baumreiter" series: Type imitating Phillip II's Macedonian tetradrachms. Laureate head of Zeus right. Reverse: Horseman left, holding branch; wheel to left. Göbl, OTA 291; De la Tour 9817. Pleasingly toned and well centered. A quite appealing example of this series. Choice Very Fine.
