1802. JR-4, Rarity 4. NGC graded AU-55. Light even toning on both sides and fairly well struck for this usually poorly defined die pairing. Liberty's curls show good separation although her hair near her ear is a bit softly defined. The surfaces show minor handlng marks when closely examined, but overall this is an appealing example of this scarce issue. Rarely are 1802 dimes found in high grade! Don't miss out if you have been seeking a high grade example for your date collection. Only 10,975 struck. Pop 1; none finer at NGC for the variety. Estimate Value $12,000 - 13,000
