1834. NGC graded Proof 66+. A wonderful gem proof half dime. Only 25 are believed to have been struck and this is tied with the finest seen. Exceptional rich lilac and teal toning spans both sides, with boldly mirrored fields surrounding the frosted devices. These were likely struck at the time the King of Siam set was being prepared, so special care was taking to make these coins as close to perfect as possible. Here is one that was not only carefully produced, but ever so carefully preserved for going on two centuries. A true prize that will never lose its appeal.
