1839/6 N-1 R3+ Overdate 9 over 6 (or Inverted 9) PCGS graded F15. Choice glossy medium brown and light chocolate with subtle wood graining on the obverse. Smooth and nearly flawless with outstanding eye appeal. The only notable mark is a light diagonal nick in the field midway between star 3 and the tip of the nose. A premium example of this popular overdate variety. EDS, prior to any hint of a wave or die crack in the field before the face. The overdate feature is obvious. Our grade is F12. The attribution and Neiswinter provenance are noted on the PCGS label. Estimate Value $2,250 - UP
