Lot 64

1817 N-8 R2 PCGS graded MS62 Brown. Frosty medium chocolate and steel brown. A sharp, very attractive cent that has mint state eye appeal, but there is a trace of rub on the highest points of the devices. Nearly flawless; a tiny pinprick under star 6 is the only notable mark. Sharply struck E-MDS. The "Mouse" break has not formed on top of the head and the dentils around both sides are clear. Our grade is AU55. The attribution and Neiswinter provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2; 8 finer for the variety, 6 in BN, 2 in RB. Estimate Value $1,000 - UP
Ex Tom Reynolds 8/2000-Jim Neiswinter Collection.
