1848 N-27 R2 NGC graded MS65 Brown. Lustrous light olive and steel brown with 20-25% of the original mint red showing on both sides. Must have been very close to an "RB" designation. The only notable marks are some microscopic specks of darker toning, the only notable one being on the rim over the left edge of star 7. Nicely struck M-LDS, die state f, with numerous die cracks on the reverse. Our grade is MS63+, CC#2 for the variety but finest of the later die state in the Grellman census. Estimate Value $750 - UP
