1787 Fugio Cent Newman 9-T Rarity-6 ANACS graded G6. A STATES UNITED variety. Slightly glossy medium brown and light chocolate with darker olive brown toning in protected areas. The two-tone appearance accents the devices and enhances the eye appeal. The highpoints are smooth but microscopic roughness covers the fields and protected areas on both sides. No verdigris or notable contact marks. The date and legends are easily readable except for BUSINESS, which is only partially visible. (BUSINESS is usually weak on this variety regardless of the sharpness grade.) The die crack from the dentils to ring 9 is clear. An acceptable example of this very rare variety.
