1798 S-148 Large 8, Style I Hair VF20. Very attractive glossy medium brown and light chocolate. This cent is smooth and choice except for a small chip out of the planchet on the edge left of the lower end of the hair ribbon (as struck) and a light rim bruise at the second A in AMERICA. Very rare MDS, Breen state V, with a strong die crack at ERTY, and the dentils over the T have shifted outward. A very nice example of this tough intermediate die state. Estimate Value $1,750 - UP
