1794 S-20b R5 Head of 1793, Edge of 1794 NGC VG Details, Corrosion. Dark steel and olive brown with lighter chocolate brown toning on the portrait and other highpoints. The fields and protected areas on the obverse are covered with extremely fine granularity and slightly stronger roughness covers all but the highpoints on the reverse. No verdigris and the only marks are two small rim bruises under the right end of the date and one more at the second S in STATES. The date is strong and the legends are complete (although some of the letters on the reverse are weak due to the roughness). The edge lettering is bold. MDS. Our grade is VG8 sharpness net G5 (obverse net VG7, reverse net G4). The attribution is noted on the NGC label. Estimate Value $1,500 - UP
