1795 S-77 R3 Plain Edge PCGS graded VF35. Very attractive frosty olive brown and steel. Smooth and essentially flawless; a choice cent. A small planchet flake on the shoulder can help identify this piece. M-LDS, Breen state IV, with die cracks on the reverse and sinking in the die that severely weakens ST in STATES. Otherwise the date is bold and the legends are strong except for weakness on the E in CENT. Our grade is VF25+ Choice. The attribution and Reiver-Trollan provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2; 3 finer for the variety, 1 in 53, 1 in 55, 1 in 55+. Estimate Value $3,500 - UP
