Lot 198

1794 S-67 R3 Head of 1795 PCGS graded Unc Details Scratch. A frosty nearly mint state cent that has an obvious planchet lamination flake on the truncation over the 9, and someone added a fine vertical scratch up from the top of the flake. The cent was lightly cleaned long ago and is now toned an attractive frosty light to medium chocolate brown. The toning looks original and the eye appeal of this cent would be outstanding if not for the delamination and short scratch. MDS, Breen state III, showing clear die clashmarks on both sides. Called AU55 net EF40 and tied for CC#11 in the Noyes census, photo #27563.2. Our grade is net EF45. Comes with a nice provenance. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. Estimate Value $15,000 - UP
