1794 S-43 R2 VF35. Frosty chocolate and olive brown with steel brown toning on the highpoints and slightly lighter steel brown in protected areas. Smooth and nearly flawless except for a small punch mark at the right foot of the T in LIBERTY and a dull rim nick at ME in AMERICA. LDS, Breen state V early. The die crack through the U is strong and it extends all the way up to the leaves under the first T in STATES where it fades out. Graded EF40 sharpness net VF35 and tied for CC#13 in the Noyes census, his photo #29650. An attractive cent that comes with a nice provenance. Estimate Value $4,000 - UP
