1839. Large letters. NGC graded AU-58. Well struck and untoned. Popular type that was only issued in 1838 and 1839. The surfaces show minimal signs of wear, but moderate handling marks as always seen on these early eagles. Incredible beauty of design, it's too bad these were only issued for two short years. Only 25,801 struck. Pop 25; 5 finer at NGC. Estimate Value $10,000 - UP
