1879 Pattern Dollar. Copper, reeded edge. Judd-1614. Pollock-1810. Low Rarity 7. PCGS graded Proof 66 Red & Brown. CAC. Majestic gem proof example exhibiting magnificent iridescent toning on obverse and electric blue on the reverse. The obverse is that of a regular strike Morgan silver dollar. The reverse has a smaller in stature eagle with much broader wings that are open but closely folded. The legends include UNITED STATES OF AMERICA above, and IN GOD WE TRUST just below in smaller letters, with ONE DOLLAR at the base. Pop 1; 2 finer, 1 in 67 RB, 1 in 68 Cameo.
