1867 Pattern Three Dollars. Copper, reeded edge. Judd-596. Pollock-660. High Rarity 7. PCGS graded Proof 65 Brown. Well struck with lovely brown toning on both sides. This is the normal dies for production of the Three Dollar gold coins, but struck in copper. Fiery yellow and tan on the obverse, the reverse showing more toning. Gorgeous surfaces and an elegant pattern that is seldom seen or offered. Pop 1; 2 finer, 1 in 67 BN, 1 in 69 Cameo. (PCGS # 60808) Estimate Value $18,000 - 20,000
