1867 Pattern Five Cents. Copper, plain edge. Judd-573a. Pollock-647. Rarity 8. PCGS graded Proof 64 Brown. An extremely rare Five-Cent pattern that seldom appears on the market. The obverse is the normal dies used in 1867, while the reverse employs the motto IN GOD WE TRUST in tiny letters at the top, above the open laurel wreath with fruit tied with a ribbon bow at base. The center shows a large 5 with CENTS below in a straight line.Pop 3; tied for the finest examples graded at both services. (PCGS # 60784) Estimate Value $12,500 - UP
