1879 6-piece partial proof set. All graded by NGC as: 1¢, PF-66 BN; 3¢ nickel, PF-66 CAC; 5¢, PF-66 CAC; 10¢, PF-66 CAC; 25¢, PF-66 CAC; 50¢, PF-66. A nice original partial proof set. All with lovely toning. Housed in Old Style Holder. The 1¢ is a nice even brown; The 3¢ nickel has a touch of pale yellow gold on both sides and is quite handsome; the 5¢ lovely with a blush of gold and framed in teal at the rims; the 10¢ shows glorious lilac and rose shades of deep attractive hues; the 25¢ offers lemon gold on the obverse, richer aqua and teal on the reverse; and the 50¢ is a bit mottled with deeper blue and russet on the obverse, reverse russet with a lighter swath through the lower half of that side.
