Lot 1110

1799. B-12, BB-160, Rarity 3. PCGS graded MS-62. Nicely toned on both sides with classic delicate antique gray intermixed with deeper gray accents. The strike is fairly sharp, with Liberty showing separation on all of her curls, and the eagle's feathers are well defined on all but their lower tips on the outstretched wings. The Motto is sharp on the reverse ribbon and the eagle shows some of his breast feathers. Excellent surfaces for the grade, with ample luster peeking out from beneath the toning. A tough type coin to find this nice, and this one remains in the affordable range without getting into the six figure range. Impressive quality for the connoisseur. Pop 1; the finest example graded at PCGS. (PCGS # 40051) Estimate Value $22,000 - 25,000

Realized $30,000
