1812. NGC graded MS-65. Boldly struck with lovely blue toning on both sides. Lots of mint lustre visable. Elegant peripheral toning of antique blue fading to rose and russet around the centers. About as nice as any collector could hope to find, and these early Capped Bust half dollars remain quite popular with collectors when found in high grade and with beautiful toning as seen here. Pop 14; 20 finer for the date, 1 in 65 Star, 19 in 66. Estimate Value $8,000 - 8,500
