With the death of August III in 1763, Polish-Saxon diplomat Alois Friedrich von Brühl (1739-1793) lost all of his offices, whereupon he pursued his passion for the theater as a playwright and performer. He was also briefly the governor of Warsaw, where he founded a modern sewer system.
