Abt, Franz Wilhelm -- ALS Discussing the Layout of His Opus 151 With His Printer. (1819 - 1885) German composer of nearly 3,000 works. Autograph letter signed, one page, 8½ x 5½", in German, Braunschweig, Sept. 11, 1857. To "Most Honored Fender," thanking him for the brilliant layout of his Opus 151. " I now wish you satisfactory sales. As soon as I have the new manuscript for [4] instruments ready, I will send it to you, according to your wishes." Fine condition. With an autograph letter signed, one page, in German, 8 x 5", Braunschweig, December 31, 1864, sending New Year's greetings to "my most revered friend" and mentioning "the repertory in December."
