Chinese Sancai Pottery of a Recumbent Horse on Elaborate, Hand Carved Rosewood Stand. Charming recumbent sancai pottery horse glazed in a mix of umber, creams and chestnut. 6" tall and 10" in length. Seated on its custom, elaborately hand carved rosewood stand, the piece stands 8" tall. Acquired from Vermeer & Griggs in Georgia and it is thought to be late 19th or early 20th Century, this piece boasts great visual appeal with no cracks, chips or repairs. Estimate Value $400 - UP
