Three Original Illustrations: Matt Groenig, The Simpsons, Bob Kane Batman, and Maurice Sendak Where The Wild Things Are. Two excellent, original, ink illustrations by three favorite illustrators of the 20th Century. Matt Groenig, creator of THE SIMPSONS, has hand drawn, signed and dated an illustraion of Marge Simpson (6" x 4"). Bob Kane (1915-1998) comic book writer and artist who co-created, with Bill Finger, the DC Comics character Batman. On the back of a 5 x 3" card. Maurice Sendak (1928-2012) acclaimed author of children's book including HIS masterpiece, WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE. Here he has signed and illustrated one of the characters from that book, a first day of issue envelope and stamp celebrating Thomas Jefferson and his quote regarding his "sworn hostility to every form of tyranny," (years later after issue.) An appropriate piece to have him sign and illustrate mirroring a deeply held belief by Sendak, informed by losing so many family members during The Holocaust. All three are in excellent condition and very suitable for framing. Estimate Value $600 - UP
