Fredric March: Two Scarce Oversized Early 30s Portraits of the Oscar Winning Actor by Otto Dyar. Fredric March was considered one of "Hollywood's most versatile actors". He is the only actor to have won two Best Actor Oscars and two Tony Awards, twice. (For women that would be Helen Hayes.) March won for his landmark role DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE in 1931 (tied with Wallace Beery) and later in BEST YEARS OF OUR LIVES. Offered are two superb portraits by Otto Dyar, vintage double weight 11 x14" originals that are striking and likely at the time of MR. HYDE. The deep shadows of the portrait of him sitting in a chair smiling is nevertheless unnerving. But the close up portrait of him is Hollywood handsome defined. Estimate Value $500 - UP
