Vittorio Emanuele III and Benito Mussolini. Partly printed documented signed "Vittorio Emanuele" as King of Italy and "Mussolini" as Prime Minister, one page recto/verso (14 x 9¼", Rome, July 12, 1928. The year is also given as Year VI, being the sixth year since Mussolini came to power in 1922. Promoting seven complementary lieutenants from the Royal Academy of Artillery and Genius to permanent lieutenants. Both signatures are on the verso and both are very large and bold. Fine condition. Triple matted with images of the king and Mussolini and biographical plaques of both, in a striking double-sided frame which shows both sides of the document. Overall size is 23 x 34".
