Edison, Thomas Alva -- Document Signed & Autograph Memo Signed. (1847-1941) Prolific American inventor who held over 1000 patents, including for the phonograph, the motion picture camera, and the electric light bulb. Document signed "Thos A Edison," one page, 10¾ x 7" (Orange, NJ), Dec. 1, 1925. Also signed by Charles Edison (above his father's signature) and five other officers of the Edison Storage Battery Company. The document pertains to "Income and Profits Tax Waiver / For taxable years ended prior to January 1, 1922." Fine. Together with an autograph memo signed "E" on ruled paper, 7½ x 4¾" in pencil, n.p., n.d. To "Moore": "Please tell me how they are polishing wkg mould's [sic]--If they are using the Rubber & polishing the holder only & Do they use Rouge or Emery. Also if all polishing is done with tooth brushes, or are wheels used. We polish every 250th print. E." Toned, else fine. Both items matted with biographical description and plaque, and images of Edison and framed to an overall size of 19½ x 25". Estimate Value $750 - UP
