Nachez (Naschitz), Tivadar -- AMQS and Long Autograph Sentiment Signed. (1859 - 1930) Hungarian violinist and composer for violin who played with all the leading symphonic orchestras. Autograph Musical Quotation titled "Abeinlied Op 18" Signed, "Tivadar Nachez", with a long autograph sentiment, in English, one page, 8¾ x 6¾", February 19, 1896. "It is the surrounding that makes our life what it is! Warmth, comfort- bring happiness; cold, cheerlessness- misery, bad and repressed spirits. Like this paper, everything seems tinged with a roseate hugh [sic] in this most comfortable 'Home'- and awakens the desire of a long rest, peace and speedy return." Edge splits at center fold; pencil erasures at bottom edge. Boldly pened and signed.
On the verso is a four line couplet from Shenstone, signed and dated by "Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Machen, Jan. 21, 1896." Estimate Value $200 - UP
