d'Indy, Vincent -- ALS Suggesting That a Friend Take Fauré as a Second Sponsor to The Society of Authors. (1851 - 1931) French composer and teacher. Autograph letter signed in French on black-bordered mourning stationery, 2pp, 7 x 4½", Barcelona, November 12, 1908.To "Chère Madame," saying he is returning her invitation to the Society of Authors and being far from Paris, he suggests that she take (Gabriel) Fauré as a second sponsor to the Society of Authors, as she had intended. He is happy to know about her work projects and when he is back in Paris, he will find some (rare) free time to go to see her. He won't be back in Paris until the second week in December, having at the moment numerous concert engagements in Spain, in the south of France and in Italy. He sends kindest regards.
