1840 N-2 R2 Small Date, Small 8 over Large 8 NGC AU Details Improperly Cleaned. Glossy very dark olive brown and steel. We see no evidence of cleaning but the color is darker than you want for such a sharp cent. Just a few trivial ticks, none notable. EDS, die state a. The Small 8 over Large 8 feature is obvious. Our grade is EF40+ sharpness net VF35. The attribution and Eric Newman provenance are noted on the NGC label. Estimate Value $250 - UP
