1888. NGC graded Proof 65 Cameo. A lovely gem cameo with light even toning on both sides. This is the penultimate year of production, which of course ceases in 1889 for the Gold Dollar. An exceptional gem proof that shows the desired Cameo contrast and clean surfaces. Liberty's cheek and neck are particularly attractive. Only 1,079 struck.
